The weather is updated every 15 minutes using a RSS feed.  It can be powered by using a USB wall charger or a battery.  I used Microsoft Visual Basic Express 2008 to write the program.

If you get a lot of spam email like me, its annoying to delete spam emails every so often in Gmail.  Here is a way to auto-delete your spam by setting up a filter:


(1) Create a new filter (Go to Settings > Filters > Create a new filter)

(2) In the Has the words text box, put "is:spam"




(3) Click Next Step and you will see a waring message, click OK

(4) Then check the Delete it checkbox




Now, when a spam message comes in it will go directly to the trash.  You can still check it to see if a good email was wrongly tagged as a spam email, but the trash will automatically delete messages 30 days old.  Now you don't have to see your spam folder increase everyday!

I created a page that will display the chapter in Proverbs that corresponds to the current day of the month.  This is an easy way to read the Bible daily.  If you are interested, bookmark my Daily Devotion page so that you can read Proverbs each day.  In the future I plan to add Psalms.  May this help your relationship with God.

Here are the 6 new Windows Vista Fonts.  Now these are supposed to be special fonts in that they are typefonts that can be used for print, on-screen reading, or web design without comprimising readability or attractiveness.  I made a sample of the six fonts below.  There are three new san-serif fonts (Calibri, Candara, and Corbel), two new serif fonts (Cambria and Constantia) and one new monospaced font (Consolas).  My favortie out of all of them is Calibri. 

If you want them, just download them, unrar the file, and drag the new fonts into the folder "C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\" on your computer.

If you had to reinstall Windows XP for some reason and lost your reinstallation disc like me, you most likely have a copy of Windows that does not pass the validation check when installing Windows Media Player 11 or Internet Explorer 7.  I have found a nice way to fix this.

Steps to install WMP 11 or IE 7:

1. Download Windows Media Player 11 or Internet Explorer 7
   
2. Download wpa_registry.rar
   
3. Extract the wpa_registry.rar file with WinRar
   
4. Double-click the extracted file WPA_registry.reg
5. This will ask you if you want to add the information to the registry, say Yes
6. You now have a valid copy of Windows XP
7. Install WMP 11 and IE 7

So we are doing sports night again this summer. It is on Thursday nights usually at 8pm. Tonight we are playing indoor soccer, and I think next week in going to be volleyball. Let me know if you want to come and I will give your email address to Bri so you can be put on the mailing list!

• I wish they would hurry up and get this OLED Keyboard into production! This is probably going to be the best new computer peripheral since flat LCD monitors.


• Been looking at cars b/c Christine might be getting a new one soon. The blue Subaru WRX STi with gold rims has always been my dream car, but the Mitsubishi Endeavor is looking pretty sweet as well.


• Oh yea, a good game to come out for the PSP! The PSP is seriously lacking any good FPS or action adventure games right now. Hopefully Ghost in Shell or Bounty Hounds will be good.

paintball is very painful. its kind of scary where you go to a paintball place and you see these 10 year olds running around with customized paintball guns. feels like you are in a terrorist training camp. there is no way im letting my kids play paintball at least until they can drive. it will also save them from a multitude of welts =)

whoever saw the indoor soccer game tonight at 9pm was in for quite a treat. It was our first playoff game and it was pretty intense. we were up 2-0 at half, then down 3-2 by the end of the second half. But the good old shum duo pulled of an amazing goal with one second left!!! (no joke) So we went into PKs. After 4 on each team went it was tied 1-1. So we kept going until one made it and the other didn't, but that didn't happen after everybody on our team had already shot a PK. So we went through the rotation again. There must have been a good 20 rounds of PKs until finally the other team made it when we didn't. Yea we lost but it was a really fun game. Shum is defintely the MVP in my mind. He made both his PKs and had the tying assist. What a stud!

well i guess im not a teenager anymore, although it doesnt feel any different. it probably wont hit until somebody asks me how old i am and i tell them 19, then go oh wait, no im 20.

thank you to everybody who came to my dinner! i had a lot of fun. it was cool to see my friends from different parts of my life all come together in the same place. and a special thanks to jihee for being the only one who watched The Incredibles with me! =)

now its time for midterms week...

So I am at the final dress rehersal for AASLC tonight, waiting outside of the La Jolla Presbyterian Church for Danvin to finish up what he is doing so he can drop me off on campus. There are a few people outside with me who are talking amongst themselves and I keep peering inside the door looking for Danvin, when this random guy says, "You are not oriental at all, what are you doing here"?

I tell him that the conference isn't just for asians. Then he askes me if I am going back to campus and if he could have a ride. I tell him that I got a ride with Danvin. When Danvin comes out, he asks Danvin for a ride and we find out that his name is Paul. So we end up giving Paul a ride back to a very obscure and hard to find apartment complex near the Vons just off campus.

This whole time Paul is carrying with him two plastic bags. Each bag has a six pack of St. Paulis non-alcoholic beer. He is a very ouotspoken and up front kind of guy. Danvin and I heard many of his stories of how he is in rehab, and how he said he owned his own business when he was 12-18 yrs old. So he was telling us stories non-stop about his life throughout the entire ride.

During all of his stories, he is trying to tell us where he lives. He said he lives by the Vons, but he actually lead us away from the Vons. So Danvin turned around and starts taking control. This whole time I am worried that Paul is going to bust out a knife and kill us both. He sat right behind me in the car so I couldn't really see him, only hear him. So Danvin miraculously finds Pauls apartment complex, and as a tip, he leaves us both one of his non-alcoholic beverages. Woohoo! We both acted like we were excited, but yea, we just wanted to get the heck out of there. He said he was going to try to make it to AASLC tomorrow, if he does, we decided that James Choung should drive him home. That would be interesting...

I am finally home, and can realx. For a week...
